Pacnet to invest $300m in Asian data centers

Pacnet plans to spend $300 million over the next three years on building data centers around the region.
 
The Hong Kong-based carrier will convert three of its ten Asian landing stations into “data landing stations” by summer.

Cisco dumps HP as reseller

Cisco has dropped HP as a reseller of its gear in a sign that the two have become competitors.
 
Cisco last year moved into the data center business, while HP has acquired 3Com to boost its competitiveness in enterprise networking.
