HCL Infosystems in association with Nokia is planning to come up with a joint venture in India which will offer value added services (VAS) and entertainment content directly to consumers.
“An important part of our future distribution strategies in India is that we want to ensure that our value added services and entertainment offerings are readily available to all consumers, adding that this arrangement is a natural continuation of our long term collaboration with HCL in India,” said D Sivakumar, VP & MD Nokia, India.
The tie-up aims to offer such services by this year subject to regulatory approvals.

Tata Indicom today announced a partnership with Indusgeeks Solutions Private Ltd whereby it will extend its ongoing Suno Dil Ki Awaaz campaign into the virtual world. To compliment the initiative, Tata Indicom will launch an interactive ‘virtual competition’ involving Virtual Worlds and Talent Hunts.

Tata Teleservices in tie-up with Impetus Technologies launched Mandi Bhav VAS in Punjab which aims to provide spot prices from approximate 3,000 local commodity markets across the country for about 500 major commodities.
“This latest service for Tata Indicom subscribers will help farmers and commodity traders get spot prices from all markets for commodity of their interest in real time, enabling them to make more informed and prudent buy and sell decisions,” said TTSL COO (Punjab, HP) TPS Walia.
